Largest swimming photovoltaic in Europe

Just 30 km from London’s city center, is Europe’s largest swimming PV facility.

The plant, which is equipped with 23,000 solar modules, produces 5.8 million kilowatt hours a year and supplies a local water treatment plant with electricity.

Each module was mounted on an air-filled cushion which was assembled into rafts and secured by divers with 177 anchors on the bottom of the water reservoir.
